Caron

Receptionist

Caron welcomes everyone with her warm, caring smile and assuring nature. Caron is an experienced receptionist and administrator and we would not be able to run our practice without her.

She gained many of her skills and knowledge working in executive positions over in the UK and we are so happy she bought her bubbly and friendly personality to Melbourne. Caron manages many of our booking systems and takes on administration roles within the clinic.

Phoebe

Receptionist

Phoebe has been with Ringwood East Vetcare since 2015 and is a fantastic asset to our team, with her compassionate and friendly nature. Phoebe is our all rounder at the clinic doing reception and nursing duties when needed.

Growing up with cats and horses and later in life dogs, Phoebe found her love for animals from a young age. Fostering many kittens over the years, Phoebe found and fell in love with her beautiful cat Mortdecai who she raised and bottled fed from 2 weeks of age. In addition to fostering kittens she has raised and looked after various wildlife.

With her caring and empathetic nature, Phoebe is always happy to lend an ear and looks forward to greeting and getting to know all our wonderful clients and patients!

Shaylee

Head Nurse

Shaylee is the head vet nurse here at Ringwood East Vetcare and has completed her qualification for Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. She joined our team in October 2019 after working a few years in emergency and general practice at James Cook University vet hospital in north Queensland. Moving to Melbourne has been a big change especially with adjusting to the cold weather and getting used to city life.

Growing up on acreage with cattle, pigs and dogs has given Shaylee a passion and love for all animals. Dogs are her main interest however since moving here Shaylee gets particularly excited when we have rabbits come into the clinic as being from Queensland she never got to work with them. Her bright personality and welcoming smile are a great asset to the team.

Philipa

Veterinary Nurse

Philipa is our friendly and bubbly vet nurse who joined our team in May 2020. She has a passion for reptiles and was head reptile keeper at Lillydale High School.

Philipa knew she wanted to work in our industry since primary school due to her love of animals and growing up with a German shepherd and 3 cats. After high school, Philipa went on to study her Certificate II in Animal Studies and then Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In her spare time she enjoys doing cross stitch, 1000 piece puzzles, ballroom dancing, and playing fetch with her cat Mario and his favourite toy puppy.

Courtney

Veterinary Nurse

Courtney joined the Ringwood East Vetcare team in January 2022 after previously working in General practice/ rescue for 2 years.  Courtney is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing which she will complete at the end of July this year.

Growing up in the bush around a lot of animals started Courtney’s love of all things fury and feathered. Courtney feels very connected to animals and finds them very therapeutic, which spurred her on to perusing a career in veterinary nursing to help give back to them. She has a keen interest in obedience training which she started with her dog Koda who she rescued in 2019. He had bad behaviour issues and didn’t know any commands. Koda has since graduated from basic training to advanced.  Along with Koda, Courtney has also rescued 3 cats and has fostered domestic animals and wildlife. Along with fostering and rescuing animals, Courtney participates each year in fundraisers such as million paws walk and pawgust.

Courtney is a great addition to our team with her bubbly personality. She can come across a bit shy to start off with but once she gets to know you she opens up and her personality shines through.
