Shaylee is the head vet nurse here at Ringwood East Vetcare and has completed her qualification for Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. She joined our team in October 2019 after working a few years in emergency and general practice at James Cook University vet hospital in north Queensland. Moving to Melbourne has been a big change especially with adjusting to the cold weather and getting used to city life.
Growing up on acreage with cattle, pigs and dogs has given Shaylee a passion and love for all animals. Dogs are her main interest however since moving here Shaylee gets particularly excited when we have rabbits come into the clinic as being from Queensland she never got to work with them. Natalie
Trainee Nurse
Natalie started with us in April 2023, as a trainee vet nurse while studying her certificate 3 in animal care studies. Nat is currently studying for her Cert IV in veterinary nursing and is doing so well that she was student of the year for 2023!
When asked why she chose the animal industry after doing 10 years of university, getting her bachelor and then master’s in music. Nat’s response was “because I wanted a career change that would be a challenge but also rewarding, and I have such a big heart for animals. It is fulfilling and rewarding to be able to help, support and take care of the voiceless. For the first time in my life, I love my job.”
Natalie's enthusiasm for learning and her energetic personality fits well within our team, and makes for a great Vet Nurse.
