Euthanasia

It is never easy saying goodbye to our pet that we love dearly. It is a difficult decision to make, and we truly understand how hard this step is. We are here for you.

You can help your beloved friend at this final stage of their life by being there for them and making this part of their journey a pain-free, gentle and a dignified transition. If you are unsure whether or not it is time, or if you have any questions or concerns - please call us on 03 9879 2803

When the time comes for this final journey for your pet, our veterinarians are there for you. We understand that you may need to talk this through with us, or you may just need to have the service provided as soon as possible, after coming to the decision yourself.

We all have our own way of coping with this process and there is no “wrong” way of dealing with it - we are here to support you in whatever way we can. Our experienced staff are expert at caring for your pet at all stages of their lives and we lovingly and carefully provide this pain free, gentle, smooth and dignified service for your beloved pet.

We can offer you this service in our veterinary practice, or we can provide you with the option of a euthanasia at home, where your pet can be in their home environment. Cremation and burial services are offered to you at the time of euthanasia.

To book a euthanasia service with us either at Home or at the Practice please call on 03 9879 2803

Animals leave footprints on your heart. The memories you shared with them will carry you through your grief and your beloved pets will never be forgotten.

After the event of losing your pet, it is hard to know the level of emotion you will feel. Even though it may have been a loss that was fore warned (terminal illness) or if it was via a sudden event (sudden accident) - you will experience all stages of the grief process.

Everyone goes through the grieving process differently.  Some may stay in a certain stage for longer than others.  There is no “wrong” way to grieve.  Your process is exactly that, yours.

The level of grief you express is a very profound level of emotion that you have for your companion. This entire process is to be respected by yourself and others.  At this time, be gentle on yourself.
